Ugur Boylu, MD, Professor of Urology at the Department of Urology, İstinye University School of Medicine, is a fellowship trained minimally invasive uro-oncological surgeon.
Dr. Boylu received his medical degree from Istanbul University School of Medicine in Istanbul, Turkey and completed his urology residency in Şişli Etfal Training & Research Hospital in Istanbul, Turkey. Following a 2-year “Robotics, Endourology and Laparoscopic Surgery” fellowship in Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA, USA; he was appointed Chief of Urology Department in Umraniye Training and Research Hospital in Istanbul, Turkey. In 2021, Dr. Boylu was appointed Professor of Urology at İstinye University School of Medicine. Prof. Boylu currently works at Liv Hospital Ulus Urology Department.
Dr. Boylu’s main interests are robotic/laparoscopic treatment of urological cancers including prostate, kidney, bladder and testicular cancer and minimally invasive endourological treatment of urological diseases such as ureteropelvic junction obstruction and urinary (kidney, ureter, bladder, etc) stones.
Prof. Boylu has published 81 papers, presented 193 congress abstracts and contributed to 20 books as chapter author. He has an h-index of 21. Dr. Boylu has been cited in over 1300 publications and works as a reviewer for several prestigious medical journals.
